I found out that my camera will cost 1 and a half times its' original cost to be fixed. I think it's a problem with the lense. So I'm looking for a new one. Would be good if I had it before oxegen this weekend.

Would like to see...
Die Hard 4.0
La Vie En Rose
Ocean's Thirteen
Paris Je T'aime*
*I've seen this film several times, but not with english subtitles. I'd like to see what the film is really about!
I can't believe that it's July already.
I went to see Justin Timberlake tonight - amazing.
I'd liken his performance to that of Robbie Williams, purely entertaining.
I think had you gone to the concert tonight, not knowing any of his music, you still would have enjoyed it.
The man is a talented singer and fabulous dancer, not to mention extremely hot!
Greece was great fun. An eventful three weeks including: 46˚C weather in Athens, a trip to a greek hospital (a blog in itself), cute animals, excessive amounts of ice cream consumed, excessive amount of drink consumed... and so on and so forth.
My camera got sick of the sand and died on me so I have to try and get it fixed.

The busy bee
I have so much to do.
I am going to Greece in the morning. Unfortunately I've come down with a flu/bug, who gets those in June?!? This is hampering my usual listmaking and organisational skills.
Tomorrow we fly to Athens.... then who knows? We're aiming to be on the Ionian island of Zakynthos by Monday. We don't have anywhere to stay in Athens though. Ordinarily I would just think about it when we arrived but because I'm sick, I don't really want to be wandering around a city I don't know for longer than I have to. I'm sure we'll find somewhere!
I love The Magnetic Fields. Listen to them and your life will be a little bit better! Their album 69 Love Songs is genius.
And yes, there really is 69 songs!

Paris was great. My french came back to me and people seemed to understand it! Went to the top of The Eiffel Tower... something I had never done despite having visited it 3 times before. Our hotel was about 2 minutes from the Louvre, we could see it from our window!
Highlight for me was a business man shaking my hand over our shared hatred of Sarkozy!
That and going on the carosel at the bottom of La Tour at night!
We also got strange looks when we had conversations in english and irish at the same time. No offence to any americans (you can't paint everyone with the same brush) but they looked most confused when we had these bi-lingual chats.
I even heard one say "German? No, maybe like Dutch or something". HA!

On Saturday morning I shall be boarding a plane to my most favourite place in the world, PARIS!
I am so excited I can barely contain myself. As cliché as it sounds, I love just wandering aimlessly through streets (well, in safe areas!).
I hope to explore a bit more of the 5th and 6th this time. Our hotel is literally a two minute walk from the Louvre.
You can also, most importantly, spot the street on the Snow Patrol video for Open Your Eyes!
There's a Monoprix supermarche 3 minutes walk from the hotel which (for those who have good geography of Paris) is parallel to Avenue de L'Opera.
I love going on the metro in paris, lifting up the little doorhandles to get out!
Although I once had a bad experience on the metro in another French city, which is really a whole blog in itself, I am optimistic about it this time! I will try and 'Mind the Gap'!
Enough rambling.... I now have to decide which travel guide to bring with me... Time Out, DK, Let's Go, Lonely Planet, Everyman... I couldn't bring them all, could I?

The weather is masquerading as sunny and blue skies. I know this is not the case, the rain is in the wing, waiting to make an (unwanted) appearance.
I love when the sun shines off everything green in the garden, it seriously looks like someone has turned a light on to enhance the bright colours.
Just as I typed that, the clouds covered every visible patch of turquoise sky.

SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE
have fun!
It's quite sunny today, sunny enough to put on a dress, some aviators and go and drink champagne with friends.
