Ramble....
I'm going to London to see Arcade Fire and then onwards to Paris. I'm going by the Eurostar, never been on it before so it should be interesting. I can't wait to see Arcade Fire, they're playing two dates here this week but I couldn't get tickets for either show. I'm contemplating going to the Phoenix Park (where they're playing) and seeing if I can get it, but it's not the nicest place to be stranded if I was unsuccessful. I should be starting a job on Tuesday. In the offices of one of Dublin's department stores. It'll tie me over until Paris and I'll have money. I need to save. My skin has been really bad lately. I think I need to cut out a lot of rubbish in my diet. There's so many different lotions and such that I could use, but how does one know which to use? Sometimes the good ones cost more money, not a problem if it helped my skin, but it's not always the case. It's such a first world problem, worrying about the appearance of your skin. I think I'll try a few different methods every week until something sticks. I want to buy a few dresses that can be dressed up, or down, for winter. Urban Outfitters will probably be my best bet. In that shop, it's almost like somebody has been inside my brain, then picked my perfect wardrobe and my perfect soundtrack. I want to learn more about Political Science. There's so much to learn and I hate to think that I'll probably die not knowing nearly as much as I should. Such is the nature of life I suppose. The new Band of Horses album is good but I don't like it as much as the first one. It's a bit more, country, or something. Sometimes when bands take a different direction, it can work in their favour, and sometimes it can't. Time will tell what happens with them. I think I'm going to get a fringe when I get my hair cut this week, and dye it slightly darker. I'm a bit skeptical but I need something new. As a result of walking everywhere for my whole life, I have very musclely calves. Toned calves are nice, but mine look like rugby players legs. The thing is I don't think there is an ounce of fat on them, so I can't make them smaller. When I would go to the gym, I used to used all the machines that work on your lower body, even though I got enough exercise there from walking. Consequentially, my upper body is not toned. I need to motivate myself to do about 1000 sit ups a day and then it'll be grand. That's not going to happen though! In the day's of spellcheck it infuriates me when spelling mistakes are still so prominent in newspapers and magazines. I'm not praising spellcheck, in fact, I hate the thing. We had to learn spellings all through primary school but with the amount of families dependent on computers these days, I think correct spelling is gone out the window. When I was reading a leading newspaper today I picked up about four mistakes in almost as many articles. I think it comes from being the daughter of an editor. I should probably have just written all this down somewhere else but I guess this is what having a blog is for.
